Welcome to Fernwood Resort, Big Sur, California. Fernwood is an all purpose facility featuring a 12-unit motel, the Redwood Grill Restaurant, General Store, Tavern (the most entertaining bar in Big Sur!), Espresso Bar and a 60-unit campground located in a redwood forest. We can accommodate large RV's in our campground and feature tent cabins located on the banks of the Big Sur River. Fernwood Campground conveniently borders Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and offers a great winter camping experience.

Centrally located in the Big Sur valley, we have direct access to hiking trails in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, swimming in the Big Sur river, horseshoes, volleyball court, TV/VCR, Video & DVD rental. Fernwood campground is home to a rare Albino Redwood tree. Hiking in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is as easy as crossing the boundary located at the southern edge of Fernwood Campground. Fernwood Tavern hosts music every weekend featuring local and touring bands.

Wireless high speed Internet access is available in the rooms, the bar, restaurant, general store, tent cabins and in most of the campground.
